Farflung Unlimited

Practice as much as you like: five fresh prompts per run, scored against everyone who played them in Unlimited. Runs here never touch your daily streak.

How Farflung Unlimited works

Unlimited plays exactly like the daily expedition: five prompts, one pin each, and the rarer your right answer the further it carries you. The difference is that you can start a new run whenever you like. Prompts come from a separate pool, plus daily expeditions once their week of catch-up play is over, so practising here never spoils an upcoming day.

With or without the clock

Leave the 60-second clock on to practise under daily conditions, or switch it off to study the map at your own pace. Runs without the clock are scored the same way; there is no penalty for taking your time.

How rarity is counted here

Unlimited keeps its own tally of what players pin for each prompt, separate from the daily count. A prompt that has only been played a few times uses a starting estimate based on how often each country's Wikipedia article is read, and real choices take over as more runs come in.

Does Unlimited affect my stats?

No. Your streak, best distance and expedition log only count daily expeditions. Unlimited is for practice, for learning which countries hide behind each kind of prompt, and for playing far flung on a slow afternoon. When you're ready, play today's expedition.
